MailChimp is a third-party software that
enables the Russian Black Terrier Club (and a good many other Breed Clubs and Societies) to manage its email communication with
members, judges and exhibitors/competitors.
Cookies
MailChimp automatically places single pixel gifs, also known as web beacons, in
every email sent via its service. Web beacons are tiny graphic files that
contain unique identifiers that enable MailChimp and the email sender (the RBT
Club) to recognise when a recipient has opened an email. This technology records
each recipient’s email address, IP address, date, and time associated with each
open. To understand how MailChimp uses these cookies, we recommend that you
read Mail Chimp’s Cookie Policy. https://mailchimp.com/legal/cookies/
The RBT Club uses anonymised reports generated by MailChimp from this information to evaluate the effectiveness of our email communications. The RBT Club does not access an individual recipient’s data on opening emails unless that recipient raises a query regarding non-deliery of RBT Club email communications sent via MailChimp.
As part of the RBT Club’s membership application and membership renewal processes, members are given the option to consent to receive MailChimp-delivered emails. An automated system allows recipients to unsubscribe at any time from RBT Club email communications sent via MailChimp. This process is detailed at the foot of every email communication from the RBT Club sent via MailChimp.
